We are commissioned by Christ to care for and engage each other with gentleness and love. The WGT Nurture Commission strives to nurture the spirit of our members by providing opportunities for fruitful worship, biblical teaching and fellowship. We support the Sunday School program to educate all ages about the saving power of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ! We organize movie nights, fellowship meals, game nights, picnics, hymn sings, camping trips and many other activities to provide opportunities to grow relationships and strengthen the bonds of the church.
The Witness Commission is responsible for reaching out into the community to share God's love with those who do not know Him, those who have distanced themselves, and those who are simply "in need". Our goal is to positively effect the world around us as the Spirit leads to plant the seeds that will help bring others to the saving grace and unending love of Jesus. Our outreach programs include: supporting local charities (Elizabethtown Community Cupboard, Bear Bags, Cornerstone, REYS, and others), raising funds for global ministry initiatives (Glad Tidings India, YWAM, mission work), and providing services and programs at the church to make a positive impact locally (Tractor Sunday, Free Community Christmas Dinner, Tiny Timbers Christian Preschool).
Stewardship means many things at WGT. The Stewards commission consists of 5 committed volunteers that care for the general upkeep of the building and grounds. The stewards are also responsible for compiling the annual budget and overseeing the financial aspect of the church. This is a hands-on group that invests their time and talents to keep WGT up and running.
